Success Through Succession Launch Event
The 'Success through Succession' (STS) Programme is a unique programme to be offered to family businesses in Ireland. The programme will adopt a unique business psychology approach to deal with the issues facing individual family businesses. The programme is free to participating companies and aimed at leading family businesses to work through succession issues with a dedicated team of experts and the support of other companies facing the same issues in a tri-regional network. The Success through Succession (STS) Programme will also be supported by an online toolkit which will be made available to the companies selected onto the programme.
Whilst succession issues may not be at the forefront of daily operations in family businesses, it is thought these issues affect the growth and development of many companies in Ireland. Dundalk Institute of Technology will be hosting a launch event for the STS programme in Ireland on 11th March 2010 at 4:30pm.
The launch event will provide an overview of the programme; introduce the partners and programme managers; and showcase an Irish family business who has successfully undertaken succession planning. The launch event will cover the next steps in the application process. Companies do not necessarily have to be succession-ready but must have the commitment of family members in the business to commit to the programme.
The STS Programme is free to participant companies. The STS Programme is funded by European Union’s Interreg IVA programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body with matched funding contribution from Scottish Enterprise.
