Netwell Centre
Established in 2005, the Netwell Centre is part of the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Health Studies and Applied Sciences. The centre hosts the Nestling Project – a collaborative initiative between DkIT, the Health Services Executive and the Local Authority and part funded by the Atlantic Philanthropies. The Netwell Centre promotes Social Networks, Environments and Technologies for Wellness and ageing-in-place. Its aim is to provide a regional centre of excellence for the applied research, development and application of innovative service models and technologies to support older-people to age-in-place in their own homes.
