Bright Ideas

The Bright Ideas Programme was developed to meet demand from DkIT Students to help them start an enterprise and to evaluate their business ideas. The programme grew from the efforts of the StudentEnterprise@DkIT initiative which promotes enterprise and business ownership as a career option for students.

Bright Ideas first ran during June 2010 and was part funded by the Dundalk Credit Union. It challenged students to be creative and introduced techniques for opportunity recognition and for problem solving before focusing on the commercial feasibility of each of the participant business ideas.

Demand was such that additional programmes ran in June 2011 and 2012.

StudentEnterprise@DkIT are currently recruiting students for their 4th programme which will again run over three weeks in June 2013.
